Here’s a quick pictorial with some brief descriptions of the 600+ mile trip to Vintage Torquefest.

Thursday – we head out to Galena in the rain. Defrosters from 1963 don’t really work that well so Jen was on defrost duty with a microfiber when I became blinded. Good thing the wipers work, but the tiny squeak they made was annoying.

Friday we drove across the Mississippi on a very scenic route to the American Pickers store front.

Of course we couldn’t leave without leaving our mark.

It was beer time when we got back into IL, and Roy provided the entertainment with some sweet backwoods music.

Rain was predicted for the show, but it held off. After setting up camp and doing a quick tour of the cars at the show, we headed over to the track while the motorcycles warmed it up for the next crew.

It was our turn next so we geared up for the fast laps.

After a quick meeting, we hit the dirt.

After a few more steak burgers, we packed up and headed back over the bridge into IL. Some oven pizza and a quite night on the lake was a perfect ending to a great weekend.
